Welcome to The Old Forge, our holiday cottage located at the incredible Hodge Close, Coniston in The Lake District.

The Old Forge is a secluded luxury cottage surrounded by glorious countryside between Little Langdale and Tilberthwaite in the South Lakes with views over Langdale Pikes and the Coniston Fells.

Situated in a tranquil wooded valley away from the traffic and bustle yet only 15 minutes from Ambleside, the heart of the Lakes, with its shops, pubs and restaurants.

We are dog friendly – walk out of the door or cycle in any direction and you are at once in quiet, rolling Lakeland countryside with a network of footpaths and bridleways.
